Sensor Synchronisation

The accurate synchronisation of all sensor raw data is elementary for high-precision kinematic surveying

Requirements for kinematic surveying:

  • Fixed reference coordinate system for all sensor modules
  • Reliable calibration for each sensor
  • Precise synchronisation of all sensor data to the trajectory


  • the geometrical relation of all sensors
  • the calibration parameter of all sensors
  • the accurate synchronisation of all sensors and
  • the application of a rigid quality management

for every object point (digital image, scanner point cloud) three dimensional coordinates in a user defined coordinate system can be derived.

In simple terms: The results of the measurement represent the measuring space without distortion.
