Accuracy Levels

The accuracies, which can be achieved with the system MoSES, range from 0,02 m (highest accuracy) to 1 m (standard accuracy) depending on goal and effort

Accuracy Levels

All levels have a relative accuracy of the surveyed objects in common, which is 
< 0,05 m (photogrammetric object determination) or rather 
< 0,005 m (object determination by laserscanning). 

 

Level III („Meter“)

Requirements:

  • DGPS using global corrections (availability worldwide, Omnistar e.g.)
  • Continuous DGPS coverage: Position (N,E): 1 m; Height(h): 1,5 m
  • DGPS outage of 120 seconds: Position (N,E): 1,6 m; Height(h): 2,1 m

Applications:

  • Navigation
  • Simplified surveying of road networks (inner city or outside city areas)

 

Level II  („Decimeter“)

Requirements:

  • DGPS using local corrections (reference stations, SAPOS in Germany e.g.)
  • Continuous DGPS coverage: Position (N,E): 0,02 m; Height(h): 0,03 m
  • DGPS outage of 120 seconds: Position (N,E): 0,27 m; Height(h): 0,35 m

Applications:

  • Surveying of road network for road information databases
  • Driver assistance systems

 

Level I   („Centimeter“)

Requirements as Level II, additionally:

  • Use of ground control point information
  • Spacing of control points: 200 to 250 m
  • Control point determination using laser scanners: Position (N,E): 0,02 m; Height(h): 0,005 m

Applications:

  • Surveying with static accuracy (road surface determination e.g.)
