As advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) become more powerful, the different types of environmental sensors become more important. However, it is not yet possible to detect the environment 100% in real time using optical sensors in the vehicle alone.
For this reason, a digital twin in the form of our Ultra HD Map provides the necessary reference for an absolutely realistic comparison between actual and target. Our reference maps provide the basis for the testing and validation of driver assistance systems / ADAS in simulation, but also in practical driving tests.
The Ultra HD Maps are also used in sensor validation.
